hmm... I think you're allowed to submit something like this instead of a fullbody w/ a background, and just let the votes change as they may or may not- but I'm not positive, so I would ask an admin first. :>

This is fantastic, darling. Yeah you have to do a full body but since you already did in your first tryout and this is at least half of one we'll let it slide this time. Maybe try adding the abdomen/upper half of legs? Finish soon, whateva you dooo 8D

You have awesomesauce shading and did nicely with the fins.
my only complaint is the bg. but from your first tryout I know you have good bg potential.

If you're already a member of advanced you don't need to try out for intermediate, but oh well. This is very cute; has a lot of personality. I'd suggest adding "ripply sun lines" (lol I fail) where the sun is shining through the water to give it a more aquatic feell. Also the bubbles look just like spheres; if you made them transparent they'd be more tangible.

For anatomy, the muzzle seems a bit awkwardly curved, and the webbing on the paws...it appears to be attached to the nails instead of the toes, is this how it's supposed to be? Also, the shadow by the eye makes the illusion that it's floating by its head so shading more around the cheekbone area would make it look more natural.

But you're in and, bravo!

In, great shading job.

The inking is clean and smooth, the anatomy is good, and the poses are nice, too.

My only crit is the eye; It looks a bit bulgy to me (which may be intentional), but if you -weren't- going for that effect, shade above it and highlight below it instead of visa-versa.

I'm not particularly positive about this oekaki's skill level yet, but I can tell you're within that range C:

Voodoo seems to have gotten all the crits. All I can really say is add a little definition to the brow. Congrats on getting in C:

In your next tryout maybe try using textures in the background and stuff. You don't have too, of course, but I'm just trying to give you dumb little tips to try and help. xD; /fail

Hello, welcome to WOI C: I'm Voodoo, an admin at WOA.

It appears that you've used a more stylized approach, making it more chibi-ish, but the most important thing to remember in this style bones and joints sitll have to look natural. Here, the legs seem to bend like elastic annd that is not the case in vertebrate animals such as this canine. The head appears a bit large, and there doesn't seem to be a neck to support it, as it just rests on the shoulders.

Dog's eyes are focused more on the front of the head, and you dred the eye somewhat too far to the side. From the angle they look like kind of a "pizza slice" if the shape is simplified.

As for coloring I see a few color leaks aroudn the edge. But good luck!

This is great, love it, love it.
I can't crit on the anatomy because I suck at peopleeee...All I can say is the arms are a bit short, especially that rigt one. Overall love the composition of this, it's a very delightful piece. There's not much shading but I think that it makes the picture look good how it is. I say in c:

Crittage. Okay. I'm cool with human anatomy. Really, everything is great on the girl... Except the hands and arms. The arms are much too short, and the hands are very small! D:

I don't know if the small hands are part of your "style", but judging from the rest of the body style, I don't think so. So... make 'em bigger! :>

As for the arms... As a helpful tip for future human drawings, the elbow will rest at the top of the hips, and the hands will rest around mid-thigh. I can redline if you'd like. :]

Also, shadiiing. I can see you did some, but it's very light, and hard to see. Maybe try some darker shades? And some lighting? :> Also, The background would have shading too!

All in all, a great tryout pic! (: I'm sure you get into WOI no problem! <3

Aww, this is super-cute and a great tryout.

I'll agree that the hands and arms are a bit small, though; as for other crits- the clothing folds look a little random. But, clothes are a tough thing to do, and it doesn't detract from the image.

I'll be lookin' forward to tryout #2~

okay I promise now that I'll stop changing my tryouts.. I really didn't like the other one so I deleted it..

I quite like how this turned out actually.. But I may do a bit of touching up though because I'm still not satisfied with the lineart on the dog D:
And, I couldn't really think of many background ideas.. so I just did that XD i hope it's okay though C:

oh and one more thing,
I'll be away from tomorrow(the 1st) to next Monday(the 4th) because I'm going up to see cousins, so I probably wont be able to start or finish my second tryout yet but I shall do that when I get back home C: But, goodbye anyways!

the feet/legskinda bother me a little.

This is really cool, I like the pose.
Though it is a little awkward...The waist line bugs me a little, and the legs are a little off. they should "flow" more, so to speak. The fingers are very strange, on the hand to the right especially, but i realize there aren't too many references for poses like that, and hell, I can't do something like that lol. I really like the clothing folds and the coloring.

I'm not good with human anatomy, but the fingers look pretty strange to me...I think the head looks a bit small, but like I said, I suck at human anatomy, harhar.

The shading kind of bugs me and the person and trees don't seem to be casting a shadow?
I also think some of the grass would come over the blanket, if you know what I mean. The blanket would probably be kind of crumpled where the person's hands are.

I'm sorry but I say out D=...I think you have a lot of potential, though.
