I say you're ALMOST there. I'm still a little shaky with the standards here, but I can tell you're around the skill level.
Just a little more practice and you'll get in C:
(and listen to those guy's crits. they are seriously helpful if you really read them and consider what they're saying)

As Lenny said, even to create a cartoon you need to know the basics of anatomy. Unless it's abstract, a cartoon will have an anatomical structure to each living character.

It's perfectly acceptable to look at Disney and so on to understand how people depict aspects of real anatomy. It's not a substitute by far, but it does have real anatomy in its foundations. Saying otherwise is a falsity.

You probably shouldn've have many problems getting in, newer oekakis tend to have lower standards. C:

If this place becomes as chaotic as Sutaro I might consider leaving...but I probably won't...I'm a really nostalic person and I've been here for two years so...I have a sort of patriotism towards Weazie. C:

WELL THEN!
The shading, especially on the grass, looks a bit rushed 'n sloppy, but hey, who am I to talk right? -shot-
Well I REALLY LIKE PERSPECTIVE. JUST SO YOU PEOPLE TRYING OUT KNOW, PERSPECTIVE IS A PRETTY BIG WIN IN MY BOOK, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CAN PULL IT OFF LIKE THIS.
It's just a bit off, and when drawing perspective please remember that shading gets darker the farther away the subject is from the light source, in this case I'm assuming the sun?
I see you paid attention to that just below the knees but the rest of the pants could be darker as well (UNLESS of course those pants are made of a very reflective material, but it looks to me like jeans).
The background perspective is just a weeee bit off. what we have going on here is a term referred to as 'tilted perspective'--obvious meaning. The tree almost appears to be falling down, the flower's perspecitve just a little bit off. AND WE'RE MISISNG SOMETHING HERE.
SHADOW!!
FIGURES CAST SHADOW!
UH-OH!
WE GOT A SEVERE CASE OF PETER PAN SYNDROME!
The tree leaves should also be casting a shadow, and because of the leaves it would probably cast a really splotchy-looking one.

OTHER THAN THAT YOU PULLED THIS OFF QUITE NICELY.
I won't crit on the anatomy, I'll leave that to the more knowledgeable of it, but YEAH.

I don't have time to crit a lot, but all I really have to say is that the bg is a little out of perspective, and the head is just a weeee bit too small. I tend to do that a lot. :C
The legs are also a little off, mainly the hind legs, but it isn't the first thing I jump to. I'd redline if I could, but I can't so sldkfj

BUT THAT SHADING IS BEAUTIFUL, GOD, IF I COULD SHADE LIKE THAT. The only thing I would correct on it is maybe making it look more fluffy on the tail.

But yeah, other than that GET'CHUR MAGNIFICANT BOOTY IN HERE. I'm a bad critter. C:

I especially lovethe background...

A short crit, the main thing that sticks out to me is the anatomy. just a little.. I think mainly the front paws, which look kind of short. You should've continued the line in the front a bit further up o3o; The chest also seems kind of low/big...

Other than that, I just think you could've done some darker shading~ It kind of fits though, since snow creates reflection that makes shading lighter *-* Maybe just on the ground.

I really love that back paw for some reason o3o

been alittle depressed of late, my boyfriend of now... three years joined the marine corps, and doesn't have much time to write, and little to no computor access.
Most of friends have boyfriends/girlfriends, and most are really careful around me, but two couples have been making out at every turn. I feel like I'm being overly sensitive, but it really bugs me.

i suppose i understand what you are talking about. the same thing happens to me but on a much smaller scale. i never see my boyfriend but my friend and her boyfriend make out whenever they are together. i dont see him because he lives a half hour away...although i do think your situation is much worse. i do hope he returns home and safe and that everything works out for you two.

I like that smudge-like effect~ It makes it look like he's evaporating awayyyy~.... Or something. What were you trying to convey in that? =o

I find this pretty sweet~ Love the shading... The background seems a little plain... I like your sky though. You probably could've put the horizon a little higher and added... idk mountains or something... just to make it look less... flat? lololImbadatfindingwords

I'm with Toast on the paws, they're definitely really small :x especially the back ones. They're a little oddly curved in the back, too... For the front-left one, I think the ankle would bend the other way as it's pushing on the ground. The paws could also be a little broader. While I'm on anatomy... Might just be me, but he seems a little fat

Emphasize on the Might-just-be-me part *-*;;

Your lineart is a little unbalanced also, with thick lines on the eyes and face and nonexistant lines on the torso and tail. It would've been better if you kept it steady all the way through, or at least make the lines on the face lighter.

Sorry if I sound harsh D: I tend to be nitpicky, but they're just suggestions to take into account *0*; The more nitpicky my crits, that just means the better you did ;D xD

Love the wonderful gradient on the sky and the great grass texture. I would've liked to see stronger shadows on the character itself, but overall really nice ^^

Wellll my human anatomy isn't the bestttt so I'll just point out the obvious.

Well, it's pretty apparent that your style is very anime-ish, however it reminds me more of dolls. The...entire body is out of proportion to the rest of the body. :I
The head and neck sizes bother me the most.
Stylization, I knowwww but anatomy must be studied upon BEFORE stylization.
I know.
I've had problems with it before.
And I'm guessing you're hiding those toesies with the sand? Wellll it doesn't work that way. You should be able to see more of that foot, and maybe just a little of the toes. Right now it looks more like a blanket, less like tiny grains of rock.
The way the subject is sitting makes it look more like she's floating than sitting on the swing...And the expression...leaves much to be desired, but that's just my personal preference, really.

The grass could've had more effort put into it, but I'm no good at grass so lkdfjlfkj

Also, I agree with Anne on the shading depth...and that gradient homg.

Other than that, I say borderline/third tryout maybe?
More study and practice on human anatomy could do you some good, hon. <3

This one is better than your other one.
I think it needs more dark shadows and could use some anatomy work such as minimizing the headsize, arm length and body size. Just make things a little more proportional. It's interesting what you did with the grass but lineart you put there gets a little confusing. I'm not quite sure what's under her either. Sand? It could be a little clearer.

I like the gradient sky though.

Your other tryout was a bit sloppy and not much was going on and there were similar proportional problems.

I say no. Work on those things a little more and come back. Though I do think the wait period to try out again is a little long. You're really close.
