i used to have a pet rat, i had to get rid of her because my mom wanted her gone, it was sad, but i gave her to someone who would take good care of her, i miss her

Uhhh lol I started oekaki-ing when I was 9 or 10... and I'm 14 now xD
I must be a really slow learner, though, cuz I feel like I'm only getting comfortable with the tools now... xD

I believe I started when i was 16 going on 17...and am now 18 so 2 and 1/2 years now~ Wahoo!

Oh right forgot to state the year! uhh I believe it was the winter of 2008.. Awesome question btw! I love learning about how long ppl have been using certain tools or how younge they were when they first started >w<

uhh.. i started oekaki-ing innn.. 2007 i believe. i think i was 12 or something. either way i was in grade 7 then XD
and so, its been about 3-ish years now.

Ew. This is gross.
So my tablet came in on the 13th but I haven't really had any time to use it. My little sister's been using it a lot more, haha :C
Erg, the way Soul colors her pictures looked fun, decided to try. But... I didn't try very hard, obviously xD

Herro! I'm Kyuubi, welcome, and I'm glad you're trying out!

I think you have a pretty decent chance of getting in.

My main beef with this is the shading- you've only shaded with one or two colors, and I don't see any highlights. Shading really puts together a picture, giving it definition and DEPTH. Depth is what I really like to see in a tryout picture C: I quickly did a shading/highlighting redline~ http://www.iaza.com/work/100131C/tttt51526.png - I'm also not sure if the sketchy shading was the best style to use, but, erm, I dunno. I DO think there could be major improvement on the tree & leaves, they should have more texture to them, y'know? The scribbly lines aren't giving the tree texture, it's just making it look.. half-donkey-ed

haha. But seriously, it doesn't look all that good

I'm no expert with solids, though, so I'm just gonna use tigerchic's picture as an example http://oekaki.weazie.com/pictures/1149.png See how (awesomely<3) she did the fur? Something like that could've been done to the tree/leaves.
Only other thing I'm having a problem with is the front legs: I mean, it's a dragon char, so the anatomy isn't set in stone, but unless the branch is really thick, the front legs should be more like this- er... maybe--http://www.iaza.com/work/100131C/tttttz60291.PNG
This is nice, though, and I can't wait to see your next tryout!

I believe that with this little of shading, it looks a bit flat. and we want this baby to POP! haha
i do like those clouds tho C:
