but it still has a manga vibe. maybe it's just the eyes and brow over the hair thing, they look very manga-esque, like the eyes should maybe be smaller even...the lower half of the face is good, the lips are nice and even as is the nose...very good, your shading is nice

ummm I like the white hair but maybe you could add like some blond lowlights or something?

thanks for the critique, Unknown~! (is it OK if I call you UA?) Yah, I tend to draw in manga style.. trying to test out semi-realism but it starts looking scary after a while LOL
eagghhh the right eye is bothering me, I might block it out.. with hair.. XD lol

done? Okay, so this is what I personally think. the colours are quite nice and work together well. I think that the girl neds more of a curve to her back, she looks a little unnaturally stiff. something I noticed in both tryout is that you highlight one specifc area with black pen, while much more effective in this one then the last I might go for a colour/shade that is less dark as nopt to distract from the rest of the picture. i like the plants, they really liven up the scene. the amour is my favourite put, it has the most detail and is obviously in your comfort zone. you're one of those artist who actually does manga/anime/whatever really well, most people see anime/manga as big-headed kids but you kept the proportions good

and now i will shut up >IN<

OH WOW this turned out AMAZING! I love the soft colors you used it really gives off a majestic feeling. The folds in the clothing and the little details here and there really make this image POP! I do notice a few color bleeds in a few places though, but they don?t take away from the piece at all, so no worries. And the background fits so perfectly with the foreground! All in all this is a gorgeous piece and I?m happy to see you?re in!

Love the little droplets of water too and the break of light in the clouds! Guess it just rained ;]

This is beyond amazing!!
I LOVE the ghost/aura/smoke coming off of him! It give such an eerie feel~ And the face in the shadow is just so creepy and cool! Great job with the water and rocks too! The textures look great!
But I do have a few critiques.
While the overall result of this looks nice there are a few distractions, such as the distinct black outline around the face and the mixture of smooth and pixel edges. I don?t mind the black outlines for the face; however, the rest of the subject matter is lineless which gives the subject a bit of an unfinished look. Also some of the edges are smooth while others are pixilated making it seem a bit sloppy. Concerning anatomy, I feel that the upper right arm is a bit big. But I love the pose and the way the left foot is bent.
Sorry if this isn?t making any sense I?m pretty dead right now XP
Overall this is a wonderful tryout! I just think you should work on touching up in a few areas by following through with similar looks throughout the piece. Pixels don?t really go too well with airbrush and pen tools. But hey prove me wrong!

excellent use of textures inmy opinion but I must agree on the blacklines and no lines thing. To me it's not so much that it looks unfinished but rather that it looks as though you suddenly desided to change mediums or styles. It's still very well done, andd it's obvious there's quite a bit of effort in this. I'd say your deffinately on the right track for intermediate. Oh! and I love the smokey-skull-thingers

yea pretty sure we've all been there LOL. I like the black lines that've started in this picture, personally I'd go with that and outline the character but it's your picture and your choice, right?
