It DOES sound like a good idea.. but for as long as I've been here, every oekaki-wide collab we try ALWAYS ends in failure |D;;
It is a very great idea, but I don't think it's gonna work out too well
(also, sorry about not getting to your icon yet, I'm planning on starting the two that I haven't done yet tomorrow!)

ok well i decided to do this since my friend asked me to. the prblem is i dont feel like spending the hours i dont have fixing the anatomy.

so i was wondering if any of u guys could redline this for me or no anyone who could that has amazing human anatomy skills.

just. I made their bodies small.. and that one arm is too short and should be bent a little more

Yeah Moo's helps a lot with the face and arms, You made the torso too short though, and the thighs seem a little small. On your/the original, the body seems kinda out of balance because the legs are all tiny and the torso is a bit too long though.

But yeah I just made a little tut up there ^^^^ to help out with faces

only for the one on our right but it's pretty close to the pose/etc.
but also pay attention to his face, namely for the one on our left, the forehead is almost never the furthest point in a 3/4 view (the only exception I've ever seen is http://tinyurl.com/232nptz)

yeah, commissions aren't hard to get in Gaia. And since you can do animals well, it'll be in your favor I think. usually the best way to price art there is through an art auction. The Pricing thread is full of... ..liars (at least from my own experience).

the best way to improve is actually learning proper anatomy
i suggest studying different animals, people, and objects as well as backgrounds so you can get the feel of how everything works

gfdsaf well it's one thing to know anatomy, and it's another to know how to stylize it. Understanding what you like about one person's style can help you better your own...idk if this makes any sense 9_6

yeah but still, i think rather than using someone elses style to improve yours, you should interpret what you see around you in your own way, i guess... still i shouldn't really be talking i used to do this a lot haha
even abstract art that seemingly doesn't represent anything was inspired by what the artist has seen/heard/smelt/tasted/whatever in terms of colours and everything
i'm going off topic and rambling now sorry ignore me

I think taking inspiration from other people's art is fine, just as long as you're not like.. mimicking it completely. I don't think you really need to change your style though, it's nice as is.
But good luck working on it either way

ummm the only problem I really see is that the back legs are bending outward WAYY too much, they should look more like they're coming towards you, you know?
the one on our right looks okay because of the curve in the body, but you still might wanna fix it up a bit~ c:

oh oh and the front paw that's being stretched out.. the paw can't bend that way, so just like.. turn it around? idk I'm so bad at critique I'm sorry ghfjdsgl

Yeah I think he would probably have the paw pointing out under him. And with the tail it looks a little bit low, but I would probably give a distinction as to where it starts, cause the tailbone is basically a continuation of the spine. I'd put maybe a curved line near the end of the tuft's left side.
But yeah it's looking good so far

can't wait to see it done

Ohh very nice! I'll crit only a little bit right now because I'm DEAD tired and can barely think straight hurrrr

but all I can notice right now is that the subject seems rather out of place.. Like the background is a bunch of blue tones and all, so the dog's colors should have more of a blueish hue to it

..and yeah puppies are crying and I gotta feed them againnn so Imma cut this short |D;;

also the back paw looks too big to me.. and the muzzle/nose is sorta crooked lookin, but I tried to fix that in my redline~
I really like the background! I like the buildings, but I think you could've made them a tad neater looking.. besides that I don't think there's anything else to be concerned about.. OH OH one more thing hurrrr since it's supposed to be dark outside, the shading should be a lot darker to reflect that~

to add to what moo said, the dog really stands out because the background is lineless and the dog isn't, and it makes the dog look more like a sticker put into the background.. but i'm very happy you made the grass go over the feet because people tend not to?? idk where i'm going with this i am terrible at writing critiques oops <u>

apart from the background the anatomy seems really off. i can't... explain it. i'm not good with words. but i can't draw a redline right now, so i'll do my best.
the back leg nearest to us looks ok, but i'm not sure if a dog's leg can bend that much. the paw is huge and... blahh idk. the other leg seems too far back; it kinda looks like he needs to pee. the angle at which he's standing is about 30 degrees facing us, so his back end should be at an angle as well, meaning the back leg furthest from us should be further forward so it looks like he's turned to us more.
his back seems too round to me. i feel like it should have a dip in it, because it seems as though he doesn't have a spine or a neck, and he's just a big balloon. but that might just be me...
the shoulder nearest to us is too low and small, and that makes the leg seem like it shouldn't be in that pose. the only thing i'm gonna say about the other leg is the paw - the dew claw looks too big and is sticking out too much. http://www.bijoupoodles.com/images/Dewclaw.jpg it should be more around that size, and seem as though it's sticking to the leg.
i think you did an alright job on the face, but like it said, his body and eyes make him seem as though he is facing 30 degrees towards us, but his snout seems to tell a different story. we should be able to see more of the nose and mouth.

Oooh, I really like this!

The blue shades you added into the coloring on the canine really help tie it to the background so much better. Perhaps the lineart could have been a more muted grey/blueish tone instead of black, the subject still seems to pop quite a bit. The paw style seems cartoonier than the face, with its small eyes, and the background could perhaps have been a bit more refined - maybe lineart on the background would have helped. I love its pose, like it is slinking off, and its expression is lovely - so solemn~ And your shading is really great, as is the lineart - I love, love, LOVE the fur scruffs around its neck, face and chest. Idk they're just really cute haha. x'D

All in all, I really like your work, so I'mma say get IN here! :'D
